Donna Pratt has over 35 years of proven track record creating and implementing highly successful mortgage and administration platforms for equity-based lending. She is a recognized industry expert in risk management, able to direct and motivate a diverse staff to achieve and exceed volume goals, Donna Pratt maintains an entrepreneurial and common-sense approach to mortgage lending. Ms. Pratt is profit driven, with a recognizable national brand. Her strong track record structuring large volume distribution operations, maximizing rates of return and mitigating risk has enabled her to source over 225m in new funds during her career. Donna Pratt was previously the CEO of Tango Mortgage Capital, a Toronto based provider specializing in private residential, commercial, and soft cost financing. Prior to Tango, Ms. Pratt was responsible for sourcing capital and distributing of over 72 million in new mortgages. Prior to, Ms. Pratt was the Chief Operations Officer for Trilend, Touch Capital and Tor Mortgage Capital, Ms. Pratt was also Director of Special Projects for the Mortgage Alliance Company of Canada, as well as the National Spokesperson for Right Women’s Mortgages. Ms. Pratt’s specialty is non-conforming markets. she believes in thinking “outside the box” to find alternative solutions to unique scenarios. Numerous contacts within the lending industry and the proven ability to service a national client base has led to a very successful career.
Marty Frenette is a Fixed Income professional with over 18 years of capital market experience in New York and Toronto and has held positions, including Senior Vice President and Treasurer of Street Capital Bank where his contributions were instrumental to achieving a Schedule 1 bank license for the company.
Marty also implemented and launched the bank’s GIC deposit program as well as its MBS securitization program and managed the bank’s balance sheet and maintained adequate and profitable funding for the bank’s $28 Billion mortgage portfolio.
Marty also held the position of Vice-President at Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he successfully implemented, managed and grew a residential mortgage aggregation business to over $10 Billion
Eric LaFortune has over 18 years of capital markets experience both in New York and Toronto working, as a Fixed Income Strategist with RBC Wealth Management where he was a contributing member of an investment committee that managed a fixed income portfolio where security selection and analysis was a function of fundamental, technical and relative value analysis. The cover universe included Canadian investment grade and high yield debt as well as preferred shares.
Eric was also Vice-President at Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he performed a key role in the rebuild of the Canadian Securities Lending trading desk, resulting in the quadrupling of yearly revenues and over $18 Billion in outstanding loans.
Tim Kowdys is Chief Marketing Officer at Olameter, a $150M North American Utility Services company, providing software development of Artificial Intelligence and IoT systems for electrical utilities. Prior, Mr. Kowdys was COO of a Renewable Energy start-up business and raised $6M in private equity and government funding for IPO on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. Tim was also Vice President of Global Sales and Operations for US$370M division of a US based wireless technology leader, restructuring sales coverage, expanding offices into China, India and Europe. Prior, Tim held the position of Vice President and Partner for an LED lighting start up, ranked as top 35 fastest growing companies in Canada.
Mr. Kowdys was also Vice President for a $50M field services division of a $400M telecom infrastructure provider and General Manager of a US$125M Canadian division of a $21B Fortune 150 electronic distributor. Tim was General Manager for the US$30M Canadian division of a US based wireless technology firm. He has raised capital and financing through VC, private equity and government funding and has a track record of successfully launching new ventures, growing revenues and leading teams, across Canada and around the world.
Greg Moore is an economist and market strategist that has helped lead research teams in both the private and public sector to produce innovative, thought-provoking analysis on fixed income, currency, and electricity markets. Greg uses a hybrid analytical approach blending economic concepts with other fundamental drivers of financial markets to help clients identify macro trends, market opportunities, and develop risk management strategies. He has a deep passion for financial markets and has extensive experience expressing fundamental macro views through currencies, derivatives, and fixed income products. Currently, Greg works for the Ontario government leading a team that investigates and analyzes market design issues within Ontario’s electricity market. Greg is also the Co-Founder of a successful online retail business that captured a considerable portion of the Canadian market share and was successfully acquired. He mentors young finance and economics professionals in the Toronto Association for Business and Economics.
Marcello Infante comes to Mortgage Blox with over 25 years of experience in the Canadian mortgage and lending industry. He has held senior positions with domestic and international banks as a subject matter expert in residential, mixed use and construction financing.
Marcello has been responsible for distribution, credit quality, product development and profitability of sub-prime, conventional and insured mortgage products and has established national programs which funded in excess of $2 Billion CDN annually.
Marcello attended Queens University, School of Business and has completed his CIM, PDO, LLQP and AMP requirements.
Henry Zysko is a seasoned and experienced International Sales, Marketing and Business Development professional with global experience in distribution, finance and service industries which he gained while working in Canada the United States, Mexico and many countries in Europe. Henry was born and raised on a farm in SE Poland where he learned hard work, discipline and planning. After high school he served for 1.5 years in the Air Force as an MP.
Henry speaks 4 languages (English, Polish, Russian and Spanish) and has over 25 years of broad career experience of working as a Loan Officer for a bank holding company that focused on community small business lending. He started the operations and managed sales of a non-prime lending company in Canada and grew the sales from zero to over $40M in funding on a monthly basis. In addition, he has experience working as a Global Marketing Manager and Commercial Manager for a leading global manufacturer of industrial equipment where his work duties took him to Mexico, South America and Europe, where he spent 5 years running a business in Eastern Europe, Russia and the Caspian region. Henry is also a founding partner of a brokerage firm that focuses on commercial equipment lease financing in Canada. Henry and his family also own and manage a residential real estate portfolio that specializes in buying, holding and managing residential properties in Canada and the United States.
